Hi Everyone

Just an update as to where the subdivision is up to - The 1 into 120 Lot Subdivision off Railway & Lake Streets. Tonight Council will consider a report made by the Senior Development Planner about the subdivision & will vote whether to move forward with the application. After reviewing the submissions by the locals & councils response, it is clear that Council is proposing the development be approved. I have attached the link for you to read

Councillors will be voting tonight on the clearing of the 2 proposed subdivision sites. Anyone who is interested can view the meeting on their webpage from 6.30pm. Council have recommended it be approved. Not that this would surprise anyone

Councillors have elected to have a site visit before voting on their decision for/against. It is unknown at this stage when the matter will be back before Council

Lake Mac Council Meeting is on tonight where Ramsgate Estate will be discussed. Fingers crossed for a positive outcome.

Public Forum is live streamed from 530pm if anyone interested in watching. I will be speaking against the subdivision. Council Meeting will commence at 630pm where it will be voted upon by the Councillors

Things to think about to include traffic issues, destruction of flora & fauna, emergency evacuation, lack of service’s & infrastructure to support the estate & whatever is important to you.

A big thank you to those who attended our community meeting today. Greg Piper MP was also in attendance. Lots of meaningful discussions were had.
Please make sure you complete your submissions to council asap. Closing date is 25th January. For those who have previously completed a submission for one of the other DAs, just use that one & rename it to the current DA/2704/2022. You may also have thought of more things to include from your previous submission.
I encourage the community to get on board with completing a submission as this development is going to have a huge impact on Wyee Point if it is successful.

Good Evening Everyone

We will be holding a community meeting at Wyee Point Reserve this Saturday 21st January at 3pm where we will discuss where the plans for Ramsgate Estate are up to.

We have recently received a new DA application notification from Lake Mac Council regarding the subdivision of land behind Saddlers Way. Please consider opposing this application. I’m not sure who has received a copy of the notification. The new DA number is DA/2704/2022. Submissions close 25th January 2023. Have a look & if you have any questions please ask. I’m happy to message anyone with info or questions. You can also look at the DA details on the Lake Mac Council website

Hi Everyone

We have just come from the Council Meeting for the rezoning of land behind Saddlers Way (C4).
Unfortunately all councillors apart from Cr Pauling voted for the rezoning.
We are devastated for the people of Wyee Point & particularly those in Larapinta Dr & Saddlers Way who will be affected by the extra traffic & lifestyle in the rural area.
You can thank Lake Macquarie council for not listening to the 87 submissions against the rezoning

Good afternoon everyone

So I have been advised that Council is meeting Monday evening & the Rezoning Application RZ/4/2019 is on the agenda. This is the land behind Saddlers Way that the developer wants to have rezoned from 1250m2 to as little as 450m2. Myself & a neighbour have registered to speak at the council meeting. It is also live streamed via their website from 6.30pm. Kirra Somerville from Council is asking the councillors to accept the rezoning as proposed.

Some people may have received notification from Council about the meeting however many have not. Myself & our neighbours have not received anything. Thank you to Michelle O’Mahoney-Shaw for showing me the letter she had received.
