Spring has sprung! It's a time when many plants begin to bloom.

Here are some of the flowers and fruits you will find growing in the Reserve. Grab a cuppa, there are a few!

🌿FROM THE FIELD with Wendy and the Green Team

How’s this for a Madeira Vine tuber cluster?! Enough to send shivers of horror down the spine of any bush regenerator.

This was carefully removed by Jonathon, our newest Green Team member, who is already off to a fantastic start. Because this w**d is highly invasive w**d and even a small fragment of that mass can regrow, it was carefully bagged and disposed of in the RED general waste bin.

We tackled a smaller section today and got down in among some of the smaller w**ds. Of course there was plenty of Lantana (Lantana camara), but also a stack of Mickey Mouse plant (Ochna serrulata), Ground Asparagus Fern (Asparagus aethiopicus), To***co Plant (Solanum mauritianum), and Cassia (Senna pendula var. glabrata).

Who's been spotted in Wyee Point Reserve this week?

No one is surprised to see an Eastern Grey Kangaroo (Macropus giganteus) or two. Then there's a White-browed Scrubwren (Sericornis frontalis), a camera loving Eastern Ringtail Possum (Pseudocheirus peregrinus), and an elusive Swamp Wallaby (Wallabia bicolor).
