✨THE WEEK AHEAD ✨
The weather is heating up and the pools are back to summer hours. The programs for October will now focus on aerobic & anaerobic energy systems and dives.

Don't forget entries to the Pan Pacific Masters Games on the Gold Coast are closing soon. And entries for the Great Barrier Reef Masters Games - Swimming in June 2027 have already opened!

🏊 Sunday 18th October - 9:00am Gordonvale Pool with coach Michelle. Four lanes available for different abilities.☕🫖🍰 Followed by coffee, tea and a light snack.

🏊 Tuesday 20th October - 5:45pm with coach Gaby. This week's sessions will give swimmers and opportunity to get some times for their E1000 swims. Please bring along the paperwork if you already have some.

🥇Friday 23rd October 6pm Stingrays have invited us to their club night at Woree Pool. The sign up sheet will be available at the pool from Monday.

New swimmers can take advantage of our 2 week come-and-try.

Wishing our very own Kevin a very happy birthday!
We are so glad that you are still involved in the Club and swimming with us.

🎉 Happy 95th Birthday, Kevin! 🎉

Today we celebrate a very special milestone for Kevin Murgatroyd from Cairns Mudcrabs Masters Swimming Club, who turns 95 years young!

As the oldest member of Masters Swimming Queensland, Kevin is an inspiration to swimmers of all ages. His continued involvement in our sport is a wonderful reminder that swimming truly is a lifelong activity.

We wish Kevin a fantastic birthday and thank him for being such a valued member of the Masters Swimming community.

Join the Mudcrabs 9am this Sunday at Gordonvale Aquatic Centre as we join Miami Masters Swimming Club and the Swim for Claire. This swim raises awareness and funds for research into rare ovarian cancers.
Please bring along a gold coin donation and a small plate of some to eat.

A huge shout out to the amazing volunteers who worked so hard behind the scenes to make sure that the Crater Lake Classic was a success.
Before the day getting equipment ready and charged, and laying the course.
On the day our water safety crew, our safety and medical officers, those who ran the briefings, those who helped with registration and at the finish line,
Of course importantly our referee and our starter.
Everyone played an important part!! Thank you to everyone, no matter how big or small the job you assisted with.

The evenings are starting to warm up and both pools are still heated! And our coaches are back on deck.

This week the programs will focus on the E1000 swims. If you have already printed the sheets please bring them with you.

🏊 Tuesday 5:45pm Woree pool. ( Note that the pool is still on Winter hours) Coach Michelle on deck.
