What a fabulous morning at our second working bee of the year! It was nice to see so many families connecting and contributing time and skills to continue our tradition of volunteering and community partnerships for the past 50 years - thank you to everyone who helped. 🐝🌳

Thank you to all who volunteered at our 50th Anniversary Celebration, including Climatek Cairns who lit up the outdoor space and our iconic fig tree. For 50 years families and community members have dedicated themselves to running our Kindy and our 2026 Management Committee continued this commitment.

Jaye from Uplift Music kept the party vibe happening with live music throughout our 50th Anniversary Celebration. Jaye is already a part of our community, as she delivers a music therapy program at the Kindy each year. Thank you so much Jaye for sharing your talent with us and making our Celebration so special.

Well our 50th Anniversary Celebration was just wonderful! Here’s some of the “formal stuff” with more pics to follow. Thank you to all who attended, to our volunteers and to our management committee for their many hours spent organising. Thank you also to Cairns Regional Council for awarding us a Community Grant to make this event possible and to Maxitool Mining Pty Ltd and TW Electrical & HV Services Pty Ltd. for their sponsorship.
