On Tuesday, the Male SEWB team took a few of the budda's and uncles out on Country to slow down, reflect, and share stories. Sitting by the water and walking the old tracks, a few of the fellas started reminiscing about their childhood. the days spent here swimming, fishing, and just being free on this land.

It was more than a trip. it was healing.
Being back on Country helped us reconnect with our roots, remember where we come from, and yarn about what still connects us today. culture, family, and community.

Moments like these remind us that Country always holds our stories, waiting for us to return, listen, and share them once more.

We need more men to come along to this, to heal ourselves 🔥

If you'd like to be apart of the men's group come on down to Yoonthalla and speak with one of our friendly male support workers or call the office 49350560

💛 R U OK? Day 💛

Last week we marched together for R U OK? DAY the day was a reminder that a simple question can change and even save a life.

Asking “Are you okay?” isn’t always easy, but it can open the door for someone to share their struggles and know they’re not alone.

We all have battles that can’t always be seen. Sometimes it’s the strongest smiles that hide the heaviest loads. So let’s check in with our friends, family, workmates, and even ourselves.

✨ Remember: It’s not about having the answers, it’s about listening, being present, and showing you care.

It could be the conversation that makes the world of difference.

💬 Today and every day, let’s ask: R U OK?

Yesterday we had Bev come and deliverher her SCARS program again. The ladies all enjoyed the session and look forward to her coming back and delivering her new program called ROOM in September ❤️

Blessed! What a day.. I love being invited to Woorabinda to run SCARS.

Sharing my story to uplift, build n encourage ladies from my home town, is such a blessing for me.

My heart is full 💝

I wanna thank the ladies for such a beautiful day n helping me to create a safe place to yarn about those hard topics.

Sneaky Triggers was a much needed topic to yarn about followed by healthy Coping Skills.

How to bring the chaos back to peace.

I am looking forward to my next visit already in September. 😇

📣 SEWB Men's Team Kicking Goals in Woorabinda! 🖤💛❤️

We’re proud to share that our Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Males Team has officially formed and has hit the ground running, delivering weekly men's group sessions right here in Woorabinda.

The team recently launched their “Walk and Talk” sessions a powerful initiative inviting local men to come together, share stories, and support each other while walking through our community. These sessions are all about creating a culturally safe space, where connection, brotherhood, and healing can happen naturally.

But it hasn’t stopped there! The team also took a group of men both young and old out to 5mile for a relaxing day trip. It was a day filled with yarning, laughter, connection, and positive energy. The conversations were real, the stories were powerful, and the sense of unity was strong.

Our SEWB team is deeply committed to building a safe space for men to be seen, heard, and supported. We believe in breaking the stigma around men’s mental health, encouraging our brothers to open up, speak up, and lean on each other.

This is just the beginning. We’re walking side-by-side, building stronger futures together one yarn at a time.

If you'd like to be apart of the men group get in touch with the Team

✊🏽 MARCH AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ✊🏽

This Wednesday, we’re joining forces with the DFV Court Support Team from the Justice Group for a powerful Domestic Violence Awareness March through our community.

This isn’t just a walk it’s a stand for change. Domestic and family violence is an issue that impacts nearly every second household in our community. Too many of our sisters, brothers, children, and Elders carry the scars of silence.

By marching together, we show survivors they’re not alone. We demand accountability. We raise our voices for the ones who no longer can. And we remind our whole community that violence has no place in our homes or hearts.

📍 Meet at the Justice Group @ 9am
🗓️ Wednesday 4th June 2025
💜 Wear purple or your DV awareness gear!

Let’s walk side by side, united in strength, respect, and hope for a safer future for all.
