Woonona SLSC Woonona SLSC is a non-for-profit organisation with a primary goal to save lives on the beach. We're family-orientated, friendly and always recruiting!

Woonona Surf Life Saving Club Inc. is a family oriented club and promotes friendliness, co-operation and fairness. We like to encourage 100% participation where ever possible. Our members come from all backgrounds, all walks of life; from those with no prior experience with surf lifesaving, to experienced clubbies looking to return. Whatever your desire is in joining the Club, we welcome everyone. Feel free to chat to a current Committee member for more info. If you want to help the club a bit more, consider joining the Committee. Every year we have many and varied positions all needing to be filled. The more committee members we have the better the club runs. We can guarantee a great spirit and great people at our Club.

It was great to see some familiar faces when Woonona Surf Life Saving Club’s Life Members came together last week.

It was a glorious day on Woonona Beach. The sun was out, and the water was a fresh 18 degrees. It was a tight squeeze with the Volleyball NSW Beach Volleyball Tour playing round 2 near the flags, and Woonona Board Riders hosting the Wootown Junior Showdown., but great to see the beach so busy.

Help at the Nippers BBQ, become a first aider or radio operator, operate a patrol UAV, get involved in coaching, or help us out around the club.

Here’s some key dates for your diary.

🚩 Flags go up on Woonona Beach on Saturday, September 26.
🏊 Nippers Proficiency tests will be held on Saturday, October 10 at Northern Stars from 12.30pm to 2.15pm.
✍ Our Management Committee will meet at Woonona Bulli RSL. Let us know if you have agenda items.
🌊 Our first Nippers is Sunday, October 18. Meet at 9.30am at the Surf Club.
🎃 Join our Halloween Movie Night on Saturday, October 31, starting at 7pm. Tickets on the door.

We’ve got something spooky planned for our Nippers this Halloween.

Join us at Woonona Surf Club on Saturday, October 31, for a Halloween Movie Night, featuring the ’90s favourite Hocus Pocus from 7pm.

🍿$10 Ticket includes entrance, popcorn, a popper and a chocolate.
🍺The bar will be open for adults.
🎟️Tickets at the door.

We’re making it a little easier, and a lot warmer, for our Nippers, with our Nippers proficiency swim being held at the heated Northern Stars Swim School pool.

Drop in anytime between 12.30pm and 2.15pm on Saturday, 10 October or Saturday, 24 October, from 12.30pm to 2pm.

We’ll run through some basic water confidence tasks and, for some age groups, a short swim and survival float check.

No freezing Woonona Pool required! 🥶

📍 Northern Stars Swim School, 9 Watts Lane, Russell Vale (Next Bunnings)

Come down, get it ticked off, and you’ll be one step closer to Nippers season.
