šŸ¦ AUSSIE BIRD COUNT IS COMING!

Have you registered yet?

The Aussie Bird Count runs from 19ā€“25 October, and thereā€™s still time to get involved!

You donā€™t need to be a bird expert. Just spend 20 minutes counting the birds you see in your backyard, local park or favourite outdoor spot and submit your observations.

šŸŒæ Itā€™s a simple way to get outdoors, learn more about our local birdlife and contribute to a national snapshot of Australiaā€™s birds.

Register this week and get ready to count! https://aussiebirdcount.org.au/register-for-the-aussie-bird-count/

Don't forget, we are also hosting a webinar and broadcasting it live at events in Alexandra, Yea and Kinglake on Tuesday 20 October. Find out more on our website here: https://www.murrindindi.vic.gov.au/Explore/Events-and-Activities/Whats-On?dlv_OC%20CL%20Public%20Events%20Listing=(keyword=birds)(dd_OC%20Composite%20Date=15%20Oct%202026)

Great session this morning Tuesday 6/10/26 with CVC regen team. The area by bus shelter is in really good condition- thank you to all those that made it way šŸ˜. We reassessed area and weeded baby asparagus and mother of millions. Checked out the surrounding areas with the Council guys.
Updated our skills with the INaturalist App.

Next work bee this Sunday 12/10/26. We will meet at boat ramp 9am to tackle weeds around lakefront. Drop in to lend a hand or even just for a yarn and a piece of Aā€™s delicious cake while we show you how to use iNaturalist app šŸ˜

Reminder that spring has awoken, wear boots and hats.

We will have our new sign with us so shouldnā€™t be hard to find.

Ready for Sunday LandcarešŸ˜œ
9am Sunday at the boat ramp if you have an hour.
Letā€™s keep going with the Morning Glory that we have hitting hard and winning šŸ†.

The Casuarinas that we are protecting have taken a hit with a few pulled out unfortunately. The remaining are growing well.

All welcome even if you just want to come along to find out what we are doing, we would love to chat.
