Landcare is currently tackling Morning Glory on the lake foreshore and nurturing saplings coming up. We are highlighting these plants with stakes and tree guards to help the mowing team avoid them. Next Landcare - Tuesday 1st September.

It’s time for a resurgence of landcare 🤗

Wooloweyah landcare met today with council to discuss working together targeting w**ds on foreshore.

Put in your diaries next Sunday 9 August 9am at boat ramp for our monthly working bee.

After the Summer break from the heat & the mozzies our Sunday morning working bees are back on. Meeting 8am 2nd Sunday of the month. This month meet at bus-stop focusing on Asparagus W**d before fruits become too obvious to the birds who will spread seed far & wide.
A very aggressive invasive w**d which limits growth of natives.

New helpers most welcome..... 😊

Big thanks to this guy who shows how easy it is to remove with gloves, the right tool & then into the red bin.

EASTER SENNA BASH EGG HUNT AT GREENPOINT
It's that time of the year again for the Annual Easter Senna Bash.... Join Angourie Coastcare & Wooloweyah Landcare members for a Community morning of w**d control, coffee & eggs

Where: Green Point
When: 9am Sunday 5 April 2026
What: W**d removal by hand, cut and paint, or foliage spray.
Wear: Sensible footwear, long sleeves and long pants, hat and gloves. (some provided)

Bring: Water bottle, secateurs, loppers, mattocks and shovels.
NB: Some poison kits, secateurs, mattocks & shovels provided.
Easter Egg Hunt: Starts 10:15am (ish). Bring the kids.

Coffee: Option to meet at the Angourie Cafes afterwards. TBC.
Nb: Free coffee, yet to be confirmed.
