We're wishing our ambassador, Matt Dowie, who is taking on the Sydney Marathon tomorrow the best of luck, along with many others taking part as Charity Superstars! 🏃

Having experienced cancer himself, Matt knows firsthand how important support can be during the toughest times.

📢"I never imagined cancer would become part of my story. It showed me just how much support matters. It's not just the treatment, it's having people there to help you through the hardest days. Cancer Council is there for people like me".

That's why Matt's running to help raise vital funds so Cancer Council can continue providing support services, trusted information and life-saving cancer research 🌻

Messages of hope. Messages of strength. Messages for loved ones, for those who’ve died, and for everyone affected by cancer.

For Daffodil Day we had amazing artist AMY GIBBS - AUSTRALIAN ARTIST & CREATOR bring our daffodils to life, LVLY™ Flowers & Gifts donating 1000 daffodils, and LEGO donating forever daffodils 🌻🌻

Together, we turned a piece of artwork into a reminder that we’re stronger together, because tackling cancer takes all of us.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Dolly Parton.

Her passing is a reminder that cancer can affect anyone. It also highlights the importance of continued support for cancer research, prevention and care, and for the people and families navigating cancer every day.

Dolly’s music, humour and warmth connected generations. Her music and spirit will continue to bring comfort and joy to so many. 💛

Cancer Council community ambassador and ovarian cancer survivor, Heather, celebrated 40 years of Daffodil Day at Martin Place. She shares her messages of hope with us 💛

💛From our volunteers, supporters, community ambassadors and Sydney FC - thank you to everyone who bought a bunch of daffodils or supported us this Daffodil Day.

For 40 years, Daffodil Day has been a day for all of us to come together against cancer, and continues to give hope to those who are, have been, or are yet to be diagnosed with cancer.

🌻We’ve come a long way in that time and hope the next 40 years of cancer research will ease the burden of cancer in our communities.
