What a night to remember! 🌟🧡
Stars of Orange lit up the dance floor on 30 May at the Orange Function Centre, with 600 people coming together to cheer on 8 incredible local stars — and the result was nothing short of amazing. Together, you’ve raised an incredible $319,000+ for Cancer Council NSW! 🙌
From the first step to the final bow, every performance was driven by passion, courage and a shared commitment to make a difference. These funds will go directly towards life-saving cancer research, prevention programs, and vital local support services — helping ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
To the Stars — you were brave, brilliant and truly unforgettable. ✨
To the talented dance teachers and partners — thank you for your dedication and generosity in bringing this event to life. 💃🕺
And to the incredible community — whether you attended, donated, sponsored or supported behind the scenes — thank you.

Happy National Volunteer Week 💫

This week, we’re shining a light on two incredible people who give so much of themselves to Cancer Council NSW

From event nights and morning teas to fundraising, behind-the-scenes support, encouragement and community connection; volunteers like April Young and Ann Grimshaw help make everything we do across Newcastle and The Hunter, possible.

The girls are currently helping us prepare for Stars of the Hunter and are very familiar faces to our STARS of Newcastle community, having been involved since the campaign began.

Their time, energy and heart help us support people impacted by cancer while bringing the Newcastle and Hunter communities together for purpose.

During National Volunteer Week, we want to say thank you to all of our amazing and dedicated volunteers helping us tackle cancer.

Thank you for every hour, every helping hand and every moment of care. We truly couldn’t do what we do without you. 💛
