After more than 20 years of supporting connection within the local business community, Peninsula Business Network has now officially come to an end.

We would like to sincerely thank all members, sponsors, guest speakers, volunteers, and supporters who contributed to PBN over the years. The network created opportunities for people to connect, collaborate, learn, and support one another across the Peninsula community.

We are proud of what PBN represented for so many years and grateful to everyone who was part of the journey.

We wish all members and supporters the very best for the future.

This is gaining real traction — “Cash Out Day” is encouraging Australians to use ATMs and make a statement: cash isn’t outdated, it’s essential. With bank and ATM access declining, it’s a timely reminder that choice still matters.

A grassroots movement is urging Australians to put pressure on the federal government and major banks simply by withdrawing cash on Tuesday.

What an outstanding PBN community meeting last Thursday with guest speaker David Baldwin.

David brought his extensive experience to a practical and engaging discussion on business structures, explaining the process clearly, generously, and with plenty of humour along the way.

A great reminder that the right information can make business decisions feel a lot less overwhelming.

Our next PBN meeting is on 28 May, with guest speaker Tom Law.

It’s free to attend, but genuinely one of the best investments of your time.

Come along, connect with local business people, and be part of the conversation.

We’re looking forward to our next community Peninsula Business Network breakfast on Thursday 23 April, and you’re warmly invited to join us.

This month, David Baldwin will be speaking on Business Structure and Why It Matters. For many small and micro businesses, structure is something we set up once and rarely revisit, yet it plays a key role in how we operate, protect ourselves, and grow.

David will walk us through the common structures, what they mean in practice, and how they can support better decision-making in business.

📅 Thursday 23 April
⏰ 6.45am arrival for a 7.00am start (finishing around 8.30am)
📍 Eildon Croquet Club, 75 Oxley Ave, Woody Point

A light breakfast is included, and there’s always time to stay for a conversation afterwards.

These mornings are about connection, learning, and being part of the local business community. If it sounds like something you or someone in your network would value, we’d love to see you there.

Please DM me to let us know by Tuesday 21 April if you’d like to attend, along with any dietary requirements.

If you’re running a business in Moreton Bay and you’re not tapped into what’s available… you might be missing more than you realise.

Yesterday at Peninsula Business Network, we had Vicky Payne, Local Business Support Officer from City of Moreton Bay, join us and the value in the room was immediate.

We’re talking real, practical support — not just ideas:
• AI support for businesses trying to keep up with change
• Tax support to help navigate the financial side of growth
• The Constant Contact program to strengthen communication and marketing
But the biggest takeaway?

The Moreton Bay Business Connect newsletter.

It is one of those simple things that can make a real difference — keeping us across local programs, opportunities, events, and insights that actually support business growth. Safe to say, most of the room signed up on the spot.

We also heard about the white paper, Towards One Million: Our Moment of Opportunity, developed by the University of the Sunshine Coast in partnership with City of Moreton Bay.

The message was clear:
If we want a thriving, resilient, and inclusive economy, we don’t do it alone.

It takes all of us — business, community, education, and government — working together.
This is what strong local business communities look like.

If you’re in business in this region, it’s worth getting connected.

What is a PBN Masterclass?

It’s when one member brings a real business challenge to the room — and the group gets to work.

Together we unpack the issue, explore options, share ideas, and often uncover opportunities the person hadn’t even considered yet.

What makes it powerful is the mix of experience in the room. Different industries. Different perspectives. Real-world business knowledge.

The result? Fresh thinking, practical ideas, and genuine support.

Just another great benefit of being part of a network built on connection, respect, and shared experience.

Curious about PBN?🤔

What happens when local business owners get in a room at 7am?
Great conversations, fresh ideas and new connections.

This morning at Peninsula Business Network we heard from Jodie Morphett on the power of social media for business, followed by Karen Christie from Travel Managers, who shared insights from a life spent helping people travel the world.

A fantastic morning of learning, laughter and genuine networking.
Curious about what PBN is all about? Come along and experience it for yourself.

PBN hosted Kerri-Anne Dooley MP, member for Redcliffe, in a wide-ranging, fast-paced conversation that moved from the 2032 Olympics to local priorities across Redcliffe and the wider Moreton Bay region — including health, housing — and plenty in between. It was a lively, highly engaged discussion with strong audience participation, thoughtful questions, well-considered responses, and a genuine exchange of ideas across multiple community issues.

You were missed Clive, David, Steven and Col 🤗
