QCWA State Cookery QCWA State Cookery encourages everyone to keep cooking at home. Local competitions are open to all

The State Cookery Committee have opened this page to encourage members of the QCWA to keep cooking. We also want to open our world to the larger community and invite people who have a local QCWA to contact them to enter their Cooking Competitions. This page will also connect with Division Cookery Convener's and be a place to gain up to date information, table issues, and share how the local competition went.

How about something sweet - Cook one of these for your Division finals-
Section 3 – SWEET TREATS
Entries are eligible to go to State Competition in this Section
Class 1 Marshmallows (any colour/flavour) 5 pieces, 3cm x 3cm
Class 2 Fudge (any variety you like ) 5 pieces, 3cm x 3cm
Class 3 French Jellies 5 pieces, 3cm x 3cm
Class 4 Coconut Ice 5 pieces, 3cm x 3cm

Section 2 – PRESERVES
How about making some of these? You can make these ahead as they keep without the fridge.

Entries are eligible to go to State Competition in this Section

Glass Jars to be 250 - 300 mls (must be within this size range). All jars must be glass and be labelled on the side with the Name of the preserve and the list of ingredients. Please use clean skin glass jars with plain /decorated lids. NO branding must be visible ie: Cottees.

Class 1 Jam Any variety other than strawberry (see class 8)
Class 2 Marmalade Must contain citrus
Class 3 Sweet Mustard Pickles
Class 4 Chutney – any
Class 5 Tomato Relish Can be green or ripe.
Class 6 Relish – any other
Class 7 Apple Jelly
Class 8 Product of the Year - Strawberry Jam
