This (well, hopefully something close to it) awaits those willing to brave the cold start tomorrow morning and come down to the Woodgate Beach Markets. The Woodgate Men's Shed will be doing bacon and egg rolls and sausage sangas from 07:30. Our rolls are buttered, and are freshly baked by the Childers Bakery. Come and support the markets and the great blokes from the Woodgate Men's Shed.

Woodgate Men’s Shed members say “Let’s Get Moving”
The Woodgate Men’s Shed sports a small gymnasium for member’s use. It comprises mainly donated equipment, but as part of our “Lets Get Moving” men’s health program, we have just purchased a new spin bike which has an electronic controller with spin and workout settings. The bike has been very well received by our regular gym users.

The Bundaberg Regional Council provided $700 towards the purchase of the bike through its Community Services Grant Program.

What goes around comes around!

The ladies at our sensational local fresh fruit & vegetable shop, Woody Gate Gourmets approached the Woodgate Men's Shed to build a market cart to display their range of produce. Men's Shed member Ken Packenas took up the challenge and handed over this beauty last Tuesday. It is made from fully recycled timber and wheelchair parts. Look out for it, stocked with the freshest local produce, when you next visit Sue and Tracy at the Woody Gate Gourmets shop.

DONATED GOODS

We greatly appreciate community members donating their household, garage and garden goods. There have been some wonderful donations, that we feel very privileged to receive.

However, please ask yourself if you would give the goods to a friend. If the answer is yes, then we will gratefully receive items that we can recycle for the benefit of our members and the community.

Our opening hours are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning from 8AM until 12 midday. We would like to receive items during these hours only, as it allows us to meet the donor as well as discuss the uses that your donated goods could be put to.

Alternatively, leave a message for us on 0418 854 424 and a member will get back to you to discuss your donation.

It’s been a busy few months at the Woodgate Men’s Shed! Our blokes have been out and about — visiting the Maryborough Military Museum, taking a guided tour through Olds Engineering, and most recently checking out Peter Russo’s peanut harvesting operation in full swing. We’ve also been sharpening our BBQ skills, serving up our U‑Beaut Brekkie Burgers at the Community Hall markets and the Easter Fair. If you'd like to know more about our Shed come along and say g'day! We're open every Tuesday Thursday and Saturday between 8:00 AM and 11:30 AM. We are at 2A Acacia Street, beside the footy oval.
