Saturday 13th June will be the inaugural WINTERY FEASTIVAL featuring cocktails, pizza, , and lots of wintery fun at our Tasting House.

Have you noticed yourself turning up the TV, asking people to repeat themselves, or finding conversations harder to follow?

Hearing Australia will be at West Winds Community Centre on Tuesday 16 June from 10:00am to 2:00pm, offering FREE 15-minute hearing checks for Men's Health Week.

🤩Term 2 Parenting Group Program

We are now welcoming expressions of interest from parents who would like to participate in Bringing Up Great Kids - a program designed by the Australian Childhood Foundation.

We are currently taking bookings for Tuesdays in June/July 2026

🧡 HELP KEEP OUR DOORS OPEN

The Tasmanian Government is currently undertaking a statewide Needs Analysis of Neighbourhood Houses and our Community Centres. The findings will help shape future funding decisions for West Winds Community Centre and all Neighbourhood Houses across Tasmania.

This is one of the most important opportunities our community has had in years to tell decision-makers why neighbourhood houses matter.

Across Tasmania, Neighbourhood Houses provide connection, support, learning opportunities, food relief, volunteer pathways, wellbeing programs and safe places where people can come together. As community needs continue to grow and operating costs continue to rise, it is vital that the voices of community members are heard.

The survey closes on 15 June - so there's only a short time to participate.

Whether you have attended an event, joined a program, volunteered, hired a venue, received support, visited our Community Pantry, attended a workshop, or simply value having West Winds as part of our community, we encourage you to complete the survey.

Your feedback will help demonstrate:
• Why Neighbourhood Houses Tasmania are essential community infrastructure

• The positive impact West Winds Community Centre has on individuals, families and our wider community

• The increasing demand for local services, activities and support

• The importance of sustainable funding that enables Houses to continue serving their communities

• Why Tasmania must invest in keeping the doors of Neighbourhood Houses open for future generations
