Carers Raising Children Friday 12/06/2026 - Flower Arranging
Another small group again this week, must be the cold weather and flu like virus going around at the moment, so ladies take care of your selves, stay warm and be happy, just like we are doing today while having a go at flower arranging or as we know it, gently place the flowers into a pretty vase :-))

It was chilly today but we managed to stay warm with the lovely hot cups of tea and coffee and lovely abundance of hot snacks and treats thanks to Michelle B , WNC and ARC, another delicious spread.

Lots of chatter and photos passed around today and great to see a couple of our ladies back after being away for a few weeks.

Carers Raising Children Friday 29/05/2026 - Beading Bracelets
It's Friday, so time for a catch up with our ladies, lets do some beading again this week for a bit of fun.
We have done bracelet making before and I'm sure we have a beaded bracelet to go with all our fun outfits, but there's always room for one more!!

Each week the ladies bring in something to work on, we have beautiful knitters and crocheters in our group and it is always a pleasure to see their projects that they are working on .
This week Beading was just a suggestion, but there's no set rule as to what you want to work on.

We do have a weekly roster for our afternoon tea and this weeks was delicious, (as it always is) with a big thanks to Elaine, delicious fresh sandwiches, nothing better and warm quiches, pies and finger food perfect for a chilly day.
Have a great weekend ladies and see you next week for a Fun day of Trivia.

Carers Raising Children Friday 22/05/2026 - Games Day

Today we had a laid back, fun games day.
We played games / activities bought in by some of our ladies

Choco pong - bounce the 6 ping pong balls into numbered cups and receive a choc reward for getting it into that cup/s and the points added up to see who was the winner.

Table Bobs- roll the 10 wooden balls into the numbered little arches, add up your points to see who got the most points.

Quoits- throw the 6 quoits over the hoops and add up your score to find a winner at this game.

Golf- need not say any more about this game , no one got a single ball in, good outcome we all got 3 points as we were all as bad as each other.

Darts- simple, throw 3 darts at the board and add up your score, mmm well some of us might of missed the board completely, but mine might of been that I forgot to take of the plastic end on the dart, ohh well I will remember to check next time.

Bean bag toss- receive 10 points if bag went into the hole and 5 points if your bean bag stayed on the board.

The ladies who won any activity received 3 points if you came second 2 points and 1 point if you came third, now add up your points and our overall winners were
1st Elaine
2nd Ros
3rd Denise Congratulations ladies.
The ladies were rewarded with chocolates cans of drink and chips, all the good things in life for your effort.

We then played a couple of games of BINGO
This time everyone got to call out 5 numbers and passed along to the next lady to have a turn at calling, this was much more fun than listening to one person who didn't get to play, so much more fairer
First game won by
Denise then Elaine and then Sue R
Second game won by
Michelle B then Alison and then Denise

Carers Raising Children Friday 15/05/2026 - Do your own thing / clean out craft cupboard

A couple of times a term the ladies bring along an unfinished project to work on or as we know it as lets have a great chat over a cuppa.
With the prompting of one of our ladies Ros, we decided to all get in an clean out the craft cupboard, which was long over due.
Our dear friend Helen, who recently passed, left a huge amount of craft items to be shared amongst the ladies and or added to our supplies, so we really needed to get rid of older not used supplies to make way for the new. So we did!!

Thank you Ros for your enthusiasm and leading us on this mammoth task, and yes we still had time to sit and chat and enjoy a delicious afternoon tea curtesy of Debra, thank you ladies.

Our clean tidy sorted craft supplies.
