Ride4Rotary

Ride4Rotary Ride4Rotary is now a part of Ride Wollongong's Festival of Cycling taking place on Sunday September 13th, 2026.
The main ride takes place from 11am - midday and will be a scenic loop of Cliff Road, The Blue Mile and Flagstaff Hill and from 12pm there's a Family and All Abilities Loop the Lighthouse ride perfect for young kids. All funds raised through donations and sponsorship of riders and teams go to Southern Youth and Family Services to assist in funding their vital Employment, Education and Training Programs for local youth at risk.
There will also be a Family Fun Day at Lang Park with terrific food, beverages and entertainment for the whole family!

In 2026 R4R is a scenic street ride starting on Marine Drive in Wollongong and looping around the picturesque Blue Mile on Sunday September 13th. All proceeds raised go to Southern Youth and Family Services (SYFS) which is an independent, local community-based benevolent (charity) organisation spanning the Illawarra and South Coast. SYFS provides support and assistance to vulnerable, disadvantaged

and homeless young people and those at risk of disadvantage and homelessness. This support extends to the children and families of these young people.

The target group includes:-

Young people aged twelve to twenty four years who are homeless and/or otherwise disadvantaged (unemployed, in poverty, experiencing housing stress etc) and/or vulnerable.
Young people in the care of the State Department and State Wards.
People from Non-English Speaking Backgrounds.
Young offenders and those at risk of entering the Juvenile Justice system.
Young people in need of protection who have been abused or are at risk of abuse.
People with mental health issues.
People with alcohol and drug problems and those with at-risk behaviors such as self-harm, suicidal thoughts and prostitution.
Refugees and new arrivals to the country.
School attendees and early school leavers.
SYFS works with the broad community in a collective effort to reduce homelessness, prevent hardship and disadvantage and to enhance the quality of life for all Australians. SYFS assists individual young people and their families to improve their living situation, to reunite them to their families, to maintain their tenancies, to learn living and social skills, to link them to education and training, to support them to reduce the barriers to employment and to enhance their health and overall well-being. Relationships between young people, their families and the Staff are important as a key to engagement and the delivery of services.
