Kate Dezarnaulds, known in the electorate Cunningham for opening Worklife co-working spaces and also as the President of the Berry Chamber of Commerce, has put her hand up to run in the next federal election as a community independent 👏👏

Kate Dezarnaulds, President of the Berry Chamber of Commerce, has announced her independent candidacy for the federal seat of Gilmore, citing frustration with party politics.

A long-time Berry resident, Ms Dezarnaulds believes there is growing support for community-driven independent candidates.

She emphasised the need for bold action on climate change and a focus on renewable energy and a just transition for workers.

Ms Dezarnaulds also expressed concern over the lack of climate resilience discussions post-Black Summer bushfires, urging her community to take action.
