UoW Rotaract Club is a dynamic group of empowered young people aged 18-30 who want to ‘make a difference’ in the community and the world. Sponsored by Rotary International, Rotaract Clubs are part of a worldwide organisation of 170,000 individuals in 7,000 clubs covering 160 countries/geographic areas. Members engage in a wide range of activities including social, professional and community events

Great way to wrap up the semster. At our final meeting for the autumn session, we reflected on our club's tremendous success. Restarting after years of inactivity we successfully organised 10 volunteer events through a 14 week period. We have 10 active members, 20 recorded members, with interest in the club only growing. We even inducted our two newest Rotaractors, Nathan and John! We also set clear direction next semster, with an even bigger emphasis on making a positive impact on campus. You can expect our club to host more socials, professional development workshops, and help volunteer more regularly on campus. If any of this sounds exciting, click the link in our bio to join!

Rotaract came out today to volunteer for pulse pantry. Over half of students australia are currently experiencing food insecurity, so programs such as these are critical to support the most vulnerable on campus. That is why UOW rotaract has committed towards a $500 donation to help pulse acquire the resources they need to keep this initiative running. Also check out our recorded recap in the 2nd slide! Rotaract UOW was out for Australia's biggest morning tea having a bake sale! thanks to an enthusiastic campus, we successfully raised $350 for the cancer council to support life saving research. Shout out corrimal rotary for donating the baked goods for our sale. If you're interested in volunteering for rotaract, check out the link in our bio!

Rotaract came out in support of the Saturday Bunnings BBQ, raising funds for researching Motor neurone disease. Special thanks to our volunteers who came out, helping the bunnings team raise thousands of dollars. special thanks to bunnings bellambi for the heart felt card and message! We're hosting a bake sale as part of Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea in support of the Cancer Council! We’ll have a selection of baked goods available on the day, with all funds raised going directly towards supporting the Cancer Council’s important work.

Come see us May 21st at our stall on the Duck Pond Lawn, anytime between 10am and 12pm. We hope to see you there!

UOW Rotaract is fundraising on May 6th with the well-renowned Bike n’ Blend! Blend your own tasty smoothie on campus using the mechanical power of a bike! All proceeds raised from this event go towards supporting the social initiatives UOW Rotaract sponsors.

Helping out this weekend at the wollongong triathlon. 5 of UOW Rotaracts volunteers came out to fill critical staffing shortages at the wollongong Triathlon, an important community ran event.
