Eden Playtime and Garden

First day back for term 2 2026 will be Tuesday April 28. 10 am to 12 noon.
We will share this day with our older friends from Eden Cafe.

Free play, Gardening, craft, coffee machine, a fruit snack, stories, scarf dancing,.
We finish with our songs for clean up time, bubbles, parachute games . And as we leave we feed and say goodbye to the worms in our worm farm and take home any produce from the garden which may only be herbs this week.

Wishing everyone a happy Easter and peaceful holidays. If children have you up early on Sunday morning come to Stuart park for sunrise and to reflect on the significance of the day.. bring a jacket as it's quite fresh at that hour.

A reminder that next Tuesday 31 March is the last week of term 1. We will celebrate Easter with an Easter hunt and a special story that connects last week's excitement of seeing a butterfly emerge from its chrysalis with the reason the community of keiraview uniting church are excited for Easter. We provide a special morning tea. If you are keen to bring something to share please label with ingredients. Especially egg, dairy and GF.

The year is flying by. It's time to be searching for butterflies. Only a few more weeks till it's too cold for them.

Our focus for clean up Australia day is on up cycling old books not fit for op shops rather than them ending up in land fill. Come share your creative ideas with us. A lot of work has been done in the garden but there is always more to be done.

We are back at Eden Playtime and Garden for 2026 on Tuesday 10 February.

Still meeting 10 am til 12 noon.

We share a little bit of fruit around 11 am, plus something from our garden if possible. Hungry children can have their own snacks anytime.
Our garden needs some TLC. We'd love it if carers, parents and kids wanted to get their hands dirty.
There will also be water play to cool down after all that gardening.

New registration forms for 2026 are required. It is free to be part of our community. We are also happy to receive any cash or online donations to cover costs.

It will be lovely to see everyone again and possibly welcome some new faces with an espresso, hot chocolate or special teas.

It's hard to believe we have come to the end of another year of Playtime and Garden. This Tuesday 9 Dec is our Christmas party. It's forecast to be hot so we may set up in the big hall which is air conditioned. We will provide some Christmas themed snacks. And share the Christmas story. And say goodbye to our school starters.

It may be warm enough for water play on Tuesday so spare clothes could be needed.

Also a friendly reminder that there are only 4 more weeks till we finish playtime for the year on December 9 with our Christmas party.

There are no veggies or fruit to harvest in our garden this week. So we can pick herbs and lavender to take home and make a simple paper poppy
