Helo everyone.
We have some news.
Fifty For A Farmer celebrated our 6th birthday on January 10. Sadly this will be our last birthday as we have decided to cease our operations.
Partly due to medical matters, partly due to all of us being very time poor and running a registered charity takes an enormous amount of behind the scenes organising. Justine has been the quiet achiever and the backbone for us, taking care of all the paperwork required to keep running this long. Many other charities, groups and government departments have also stepped up to help those in need.
We have something in the works and want to go out with a bang. Can't tell you what it will be just yet but as soon as we are fully organised we will let you know and you are invited to come on our last trip as Fifty For A Farmer and to join with us to donate every cent we have.
While this will be the end of our little charity, we may still look at trips but as a group of like-minded people and not a registered charity. After all that is how we began .... with Convoy To Coonabarabran.
Lastly, Justine Gilfillan, Janet Mortlock- Godden, Shaaryn Salisbury and Kim Freeman would like to thank everyone who has come along for the ride with us. Thank you to those who have donated goods, money and their time to help us help others. Thank you for your kindness and your friendship. It has been a pleasure to get to know you.
We are still hoping to raise a little more money to round up our final donation to be an amazing amount.
So stay tuned. .....We are very excited for our last hurrah.
