The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing wants your feedback on new Framework Planning and NDIS Supports.

The consultation focuses on four new NDIS rules for new framework planning:

• how the NDIS will understand a participant’s support needs
• how reasonable and necessary budgets will be developed
• how a participant can use their plan
• how a new framework plan can be changed

The consultation is open to people with disability, families, carers, advocates and disability organisations.

There are Easy Read resources and different ways to have your say: https://consultations.health.gov.au/disability-and-carers-group/nfp-ndis-supports/

Consultations closes on Wednesday 14 October.

Have your say on proposed NDIS new framework planning and NDIS support rules.

We are making changes to the NDIS to ensure it is sustainable for future generations.

The proposed rules explain how support needs assessments and budgets could work under a new planning approach. We're working with states, territories and the disability community on these changes.

We want to hear from NDIS participants and the disability community to help shape the final rules.

🗓️ Consultation closes at 11.59 pm AEDT on 14 October 2026.
