It’s growing group and a great opportunity to engage in a number of different gaming formats. Everyone is welcome to come and check it out.

Did you know it’s National Dog Day? 🐕

Military working dogs and assistance dogs play a big part in the Defence and veteran community. They provide service and support when it’s most needed.

Make sure you acknowledge and show your pup some appreciation today.

Today, on National Dog Day, we honour the dogs who have stood beside us in service.

Throughout history, dogs have served alongside Australians in war and conflict, demonstrating extraordinary courage, intelligence and loyalty. Today, working dogs continue that legacy through military service, policing, search and rescue, assistance and support roles.

Behind every working dog is a remarkable bond built on trust between animal and handler. For some, that partnership has meant protection in dangerous environments. For others, it has brought comfort, independence or even saved a life.

Today we remember the dogs who served before us, recognise those still serving, and celebrate the extraordinary bond between people and dogs everywhere.

Whilst it is devastating to see another memorial to our fallen veterans destroyed by vandalism. It is positive to see the Tasmanian State Government taking action to hold those responsible to account.

Today we commemorated Vietnam Veterans Day, laying wreaths across multiple locations. With Vice President, Mr Shaun Donohue, along with Committee member, Mr Tim Pates attending a commemorative service at the Vietnam Memorial outside South Bandiana.

Treasurer, Mr Mitch Sisley attended a combined service with multiple sub-branches from around the region in Myrtleford, including RSL VIC executive member Mr Des Callaghan.

These are the commemorative events that we are proud to support and share the legacy with the entire veteran community.

Once again, to those over 60,000 Australians we say Thank You for your service and welcome home.

Australia is proud of you and we are lucky to have many Vietnam Veterans at Wodonga RSL who proudly served across the war.
