are a not for profit community theatre company based in Wodonga, formed by David Todd and Liz Kolisnyk in 2005. Shows include, Dimboola, Back to the 70โ€™s, Godspell, Nunsense , a childrenโ€™s musical โ€œPinkaliciousโ€, Jesus Christ Superstar, LittleShop of Horrors and most recently Spamalot. ๐ŸŒŸ Our next stop in Livid's journey takes us to 2016 and our production of ANNIE!

Our 11th show in just 9 years! By this stage, David Todd was certainly making his creative mark on the Albury-Wodonga theatre scene, and Livid Productions was continuing to grow!

This was our first big endeavour working with so many young performers, and of course, one very important four-legged cast member! ๐Ÿพ

We had an absolute ball bringing this much-loved musical to life, with a wonderful cast of adults and children, plenty of laughs and some fantastic musical numbers.

David has some great memories of this show, particularly the big tap dance number performed on suitcases, and working with the wonderful Georgia, who played Annie.

And who could forget Bear, the gorgeous chocolate Labrador! ๐Ÿ• Bear was already a frequent theatre watcher, so it seemed only fitting that he finally got his chance in the spotlight!

Another favourite memory for David was It's the Hard Knock Life, particularly the moment when all the children emerged from underneath the beds. Such a fantastic theatrical moment!

A wonderful show, a fabulous cast and so many special memories! โค๏ธ

๐ŸŽญ GREASE first hit the stage in Chicago in 1971, before making its way to New York in 1972.

Richard Gere played Danny Zuko! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Long before becoming a Hollywood star, Richard Gere pulled on the leather jacket to play Danny in the original London production of GREASE in 1973!

Over 50 years later, GREASE continues to entertain audiences around the world, and we can't wait to bring it back to the stage for our 20th Anniversary production!

๐ŸŒŸ This is definitely up there as one of our favourite shows we have ever done!

Sweeney Todd is a Sondheim classic, and its dark humour, incredible score and twisted story suited Director David Toddโ€™s dark and creative style perfectly. ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ”ช

With a wonderful small cast, striking lighting and an incredible set, the whole production had a distinctive look and feel. The strong red colour theme worked perfectly with the darkness of Sweeney Todd and, of course, it felt very Livid too! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ–ค

One of Davidโ€™s favourite memories was the phenomenal orchestra, led by Music Director Trevor Cooper. We loved having the orchestra share the stage with the performers and became part of the visual world of the production. ๐ŸŽถ

David also loved being able to embrace the dark comedy of the show and create something that was theatrical, dramatic and just a little bit twisted. Definitely a show that suited the Livid style!

๐ŸŒŸ Our next instalment in Lividโ€™s journey took us into the wonderfully weird, colourful and completely crazy world of Seussical The Musical!

This was such a fun show and visually spectacular, with all the colour, costumes, crazy characters and larger-than-life moments youโ€™d expect from the world of Dr Seuss.

And, of course, David brought his signature WOW factor to the stage! The amazing Seussical trees were used as a preset and dressed the stage as audiences arrived, immediately transporting everyone into the colourful world of Dr Seuss. ๐ŸŒณโค๏ธ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™

David remembers the costumes, the colour, the crazy dance moves and the overall weirdness of the show! He particularly loved the red and white set inspired by the Cat in the Hat, the memorable yellow tree and just how wonderfully strange the whole production was.

It was bright, bold, quirky and completely over the top, which made it a whole lot of fun to bring to life!

๐ŸŒŸ Well, this one feels particularly special to look back on!

In 2013, Livid Productions took a trip to Rydell High with GREASE, and what an incredible time we had! This was a cast that became a genuinely close group of friends who loved performing together, and that energy and friendship certainly made its way onto the stage. ๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿ–ค

One of Director David Toddโ€™s favourite memories was the car! ๐Ÿš— David loved working on it and bringing Greased Lightninโ€™ to life, although many of our backstage crew might have slightly different memories of just how HEAVY it was to move! ๐Ÿ˜‚
He is hoping to somehow incorporate it into our 2027 production. Exactly how? Well, weโ€™ll have to wait and see. Weโ€™re sure it will be done in true David Todd style!

Well, this is a pretty special Monday Memory! ๐Ÿ’—

We were incredibly grateful to receive this video from the wonderful Des Flanagan to help us celebrate Livid Productionsโ€™ upcoming 20th Anniversary.

Des was part of our 2013 production of GREASE, playing Sonny, one of our T-Birds, which makes this even more special as we prepare to bring GREASE back to the stage as our 20th Anniversary production in 2027! โšก๏ธ

We loved the energy that Des brought to the stage. Even back then, it was clear to us all that he had something very special and would go on to do amazing things in the performing arts.

And he certainly has! Des has built an incredible professional musical theatre career, including playing Christian in Moulin Rouge! The Musical, West Side Story on Sydney Harbour and Grease: The Arena Experience. He is currently starring as 'The Showman' in the Australian tour of The Greatest Showman. ๐ŸŽชโœจ

We feel incredibly privileged to have been a small part of Desโ€™s musical theatre journey and are so proud of everything he has achieved.
