Farm Drought Support Grants closing soon.
The Farm Drought Support Grants, previously known as the On-Farm Drought Infrastructure Grants, are due to close on 30 June 2026, or earlier if program funds are exhausted.
The grants are a Victorian Government program delivered by Rural Finance to support eligible primary producers with on-farm infrastructure improvements and essential business activities that improve drought management and preparedness.
Eligible activities may include water infrastructure, stock containment areas, grain and fodder storage, pasture or crop re-establishment, and water carting for livestock and essential farm activities.
Applications are processed by Rural Finance in order of receipt, so farmers are encouraged to seek support early.

The Services Australia Mobile Service Centre will be visiting Rutherglen tomorrow, Tuesday 5th May and will be in the Rutherglen Information Centre car park, Main Street. Staff can assist you and your family in accessing Medicare, Centrelink, and Australian Government services.

Rutherglen Rumble | This Saturday
This Saturday (11th) from 8:00am, Rutherglen Park will come alive for the Rutherglen Rumble - and we’re proud to be part of it.
Hosted by local legends at Caffeine n Machine, this event has grown into something pretty special. What started as a way to bring people together now attracts visitors from across Australia and beyond - all built around a simple idea: creating space for real conversations about mental health and wellbeing.
You’ll see farmers, tradies, truck drivers, bikers and families all in one place, drawn together by a shared connection, a love of machines, and a willingness to look out for each other.
We’re incredibly grateful that all funds raised this year will be donated to AgBiz Assist, helping us continue supporting farmers and ag related small businesses through tough times.
Our team will be there on the day, if you see us, come over for a chat.
If you’re anywhere near Rutherglen, it’s well worth getting along. Good people, good conversations, and a cause that matters.

We spent time in Mansfield earlier this week connecting with local businesses and sharing support available through Small Business Financial Counselling following the January 2026 bushfires.

It was incredibly encouraging to see so many people in the room, open conversations, shared experiences, and a strong sense of community moving forward together.

Thank you to the Mansfield Chamber for the warm hospitality, the Delatite Hotel for hosting, and Mansfield Shire Council for coordinating such a valuable session.

We also acknowledge Warwick, one of our Rural Financial Counsellors, and Warren from our Wellbeing team, for their honest and practical insights on the day.

International Womens Day - Sunday March 8
Today we recognise and celebrate the women who strengthen our rural communities every day.
From the women running farms and small businesses, to those supporting families, volunteering in their communities, leading organisations, and helping others through challenging times, their contribution to regional Australia is immense.

This year’s theme, Balancing the Scales, reminds us that true progress comes when everyone has equity, inclusion and access to opportunity. In rural and regional Australia, that means ensuring women have the same access to services, financial support, business advice, education and leadership opportunities as anyone else.

We are proud to work alongside many incredible women within our own team who provide trusted support, guidance and advocacy for the people and businesses we serve.
