Bhutanese Australian Community Support Group Albury Wodonga (BACSGAW) warmly invites all community members living in and around Albury-Wodonga to join us for our Multicultural Dashain and Tihar Celebration 2025.
Date: Saturday, 18 October 2025
Time: 2:00 PM onwards
Venue: 19 Martha Mews, Lavington NSW (Mirambeena Community Centre)
This event is one of our biggest annual celebrations, bringing together people from all backgrounds to share in the rich traditions of Dashain and Tihar, two of the most important and joyous festivals in Nepali culture.
Dashain symbolises the triumph of good over evil and the blessings of family unity, while Tihar celebrates light, love, and the bond between humans and animals. Together, these festivals reflect peace, prosperity, and harmony β values we proudly share within our multicultural community in Albury-Wodonga.
The celebration will include:
Cultural performances from different community groups
Traditional and modern Nepali dances and songs
Delicious multicultural food and refreshments
Family-friendly activities and entertainment
Opportunities to meet, connect, and celebrate diversity
We sincerely welcome everyone β individuals, families, and friends from all cultures and backgrounds β to come together and celebrate this vibrant occasion with us. Your presence will add joy and meaning to the event, and we look forward to seeing our whole community united in the spirit of multiculturalism and friendship.
For more details, please see the event flyer or contact one of our BACSGAW board members. They will be happy to provide additional information about participation, volunteering, or event activities.
Letβs come together to share culture, laughter, food, and happiness as we celebrate the Multicultural Dashain and Tihar 2025!
