The new Hawkesbury District Community Scout Hall was officially opened on Saturday by The Hon. Peter Primrose MLC, alongside local Scouts, families, volunteers and community members.

Its opening marks an important milestone for the Hawkesbury community, and for Scouts NSW. This hall is more than just a building. It is a place where young people will learn leadership, resilience, teamwork and practical life skills through the Scout program, and where the wider community will gather and build connections. The completion of this project reflects a shared commitment to investing in young people and community connections, and was funded by the NSW Government through the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program.

Some photos from day 1 of the annual GWS Region Diversity and Inclusion Conference. Scouting is for all abilities, all cultures and all personality types! Today was about expanding our skills and knowledge in Neurodiversity, Gender Identity and Behavioral Support. We also talked a lot about developing further resources and support networks in Scouting. Thanks to Wondiverse, Archie and Kristy for presenting today.
