Did you know that the Wingham CWA Branch is proud to be part of the Regional Australia Bank Community Partnership Program?
This wonderful program gives our community the opportunity to help support our branch simply by choosing to nominate Wingham CWA through the program. Every nomination and every show of support helps us continue providing activities, workshops, community events, advocacy, and assistance to people throughout our local area.
As a volunteer organisation, every dollar makes a difference and helps us continue giving back to our community.

Last week, the Wingham CWA branch enjoyed a wonderful morning at Wingham library hosting our kid’s holiday craft session.
The children loved making their own paper doll with pockets and each doll was full of personality! It was great to see the concentration as everyone created their unique doll.
A big thankyou to all of the children who joined us, for the parents & grandparents that bought them there, to Wingham Library for hosting us, and our members who helped make the morning so special!

With Anzac Day almost upon us, it only seems fitting to share the CWA Anzac Biscuit recipe.

We're once again sharing one of our favourite Anzac biscuit recipe (from the CWA Cook Book).

**CWA of NSW Anzac Biscuit Recipe**
150g (1 cup) plain flour
220g (1 cup) sugar
100g (1 cup) rolled oats
90g (1 cup) desiccated coconut
125g butter
1 tablespoon golden syrup
2 tablespoons boiling water
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C and lightly grease two baking trays.

Combine the flour in a bowl with the sugar, rolled oats and coconut. Melt the butter in a saucepan with the golden syrup over medium heat. Combine the boiling water with the bicarbonate of soda and stir to dissolve.

Add to the butter mixture and mix well, then stir into the dry ingredients until thoroughly combined.

Drop teaspoons of the mixture onto the trays, allowing room for spreading.

Bake for 10 minutes, or until golden brown.

Allow to cool on the tray for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Note: They're more on the crunchy side but it depends how long you bake them for. We've heard half the sugar works just as well but haven't tested it.
