Before the Coffee Brigade vans head out, we first fill them with freshly made sandwiches. 🥪
Our freshly made sandwiches are handed out every single day to our friends, and that adds up to more than 4,000 sandwiches every month.
Each one is prepared here at HQ by our wonderful community of volunteers, and here are a few of the organisations who have helped us recently:
The United Airlines team spent time with us at HQ for their sandwich shift, and they also brought another generous donation of pantry and toiletry items.
The Expedia Brisbane team also joined us, their enthusiasm was infectious, and they also organised a pantry drive, leaving us with another huge donation of pantry goods to load up onto the vans.
Lourdes Hill Junior students also recently held a pantry drive, then brought all their goodies with them when the staff and students came to Headquarters for their sandwich shift. It was lovely to have them in the kitchen.
Our partner, Serve the City Brisbane, came in for one of their regular sandwich shifts. If you didn’t know, Serve the City is a volunteer-led community bringing people together to serve their city through simple, practical acts of kindness.
We’re incredibly grateful to every person who gives their time and energy to Coffee Brigade. It’s truly a team effort.
