We tried to get enough people together to launch this Rotary sponsored social & service club for 18 - 30 year olds in & around Stonnington but not yet… if you’re interested please contact Rotary Prahran & let’s give it another go? Now setting up a club in Stonnington, Rotaract will provide an opportunity for young men and women in & around the Prahran, South Yarra, Armadale, Malvern, East Malvern,
East St. Kilda areas, to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service. The goals of Rotaract are:
1. To develop professional and leadership skills;
2. To emphasize respect for the rights of others, and to promote ethical standards and the dignity of all useful occupations;
3. To provide opportunities for young people to address the needs and concerns of the community and our world;
4. To provide opportunities for working in cooperation with sponsoring Rotary clubs; and
5. To motivate young people for possible membership in Rotary International. Rotaract clubs meet twice a month to exchange ideas, plan activities and projects, and socialize. While Rotary clubs serve as sponsors, Rotaract clubs decide how to organize and run their club and what projects and activities to carry out. Want to join?
