Residents who have undertaken recent pile burning are urged to check these piles for any smoke or smouldering materials over the coming days.

Tonight we have been called to another suspicious fire.

This is very concerning to us as we potentially move into a warm dry winter.

The fuel is thick through our surrounding bushland and given the right weather it could spread fast.

Please be vigilant and contact 000 if you see anything suspicious.

We've had calls to camp fires in the bush along Shearer Ave over the couple of days.

Information was provided by bystanders that children are lighting these fires while riding on the tracks.

Even though we've seen rain over the week, the bush is really dry and tea tree burns easily.

Fire safety concerns us all.

In order for us to keep our community safe, we need the support of everyone to have conversations about the use of fire in our bush areas.

The cubby house is really cool and we love to see the children in the community enjoying the bushland.

We ask that they do it safely, without introducing the danger of fire.

Our crews are doing hydrant checks and maintenance in the local area.Come and say hi if you see us.
