Our branch is looking forward to the CWA Victoria State Conference today and tomorrow, getting to meet other women from around Victoria and having a bit of a dance at the dinner later tonight!

Thanks to Telstra for sponsoring the conference, which allows us to focus on what we do best: no, not only baking and nattering over a cuppa (haha) but supporting and advocating for women, children and vulnerable families in our communities.

If you fancy finding out more about what we do and to meet some Wonderful Willi Women, pop along to our meeting in the third Wednesday of every month at 7pm at Dennis Reserve Community Centre. In June we have an exciting local speaker so watch this space for more!

Thank you to everyone who came by our Mother’s Day stall today and bought something. We didn’t sell out, but we did sell a lot.

It was a very successful event that has raised a good amount to help us support vulnerable women, children and families in our community.

We have had a very busy day baking 300 scones for St Augustine’s Mother’s Day breakfast tomorrow.
We hope it all goes well.

Now, back to baking and crafting for our Mother’s Day Stall this coming Saturday in Coles Williamstown Foyer off Douglas Parade. We open at 9.30am and hope to see you there.

All funds raised go to the CWA Williamstown to help support vulnerable women, children and families in our Community.

Our community has a wonderful toy library at Newport Gardens Early Years Centre. Run and managed by volunteers (often families of members), the library offers a huge range of toys to all families in Hobsons Bay, allowing access to educational resources- and fun- for every child.

To help transport toys and assist parents to load their car while trying to supervise small children, CWA Williamstown donated two trolleys to the toy library, hopefully making life easier, after their old trolley was stolen! Pictured here are Carol and Miranda from the branch with some regular volunteers receiving the trolleys!

CWA Williamstown Branch are meeting tomorrow Wednesday April 15 at 7-9 pm at the Dennis Reserve Centre, corner of Melbourne Rd and Ferguson St Williamstown. New members welcome to come and see us in action. Light supper is provided. Email us on [email protected]
