What a fantastic afternoon we had on Monday at the weir with our friends from Newmont Boddington Gold!

The Warriors learned about the importance of native species in our local environment and discovered how native trees and plants contribute to healthy ecosystems. The hands-on highlight of the afternoon was creating seed bombs to take home, providing a fun and practical way to encourage native plant growth.

There was plenty of enthusiasm, creativity and curiosity as everyone got involved. Afternoon tea was enjoyed by all, and yes, there was a little mud involved, which only added to the fun!

A huge thank you to the Newmont Enviro team for sharing their knowledge and passion for our local environment, to Phyllis, Hayley, Sharon and to everyone who came along and participated. We love providing opportunities for young people to connect with nature, learn new skills and have fun outdoors.

🍃💦HUGE thanks to Ben for again volunteering his time to help our Warriors in their session. We walked to the river to collect water samples learning best practice and then went back to the CRC for the "Technical" stuff. We looked at just how salty our river is and the PH. Field scientists in training!

Volunteers like Ben are so valued and are a HUGE bonus for the kids who get to learn from people in our community with special skills. If you have something you could share with our kids whether environmental or otherwise we would LOVE to hear from you!

Microsoft Publisher is being phased out by the end of October, so files that are saved at the Williams CRC in that format will be inaccessible.
For over 20 years, Williams CRC has stored documents for our community, including newsletters, flyers, event programs, posters, reports, birthday cards and other records.
We can offer:
• USB collection
• Google Drive transfer
• PDF conversion (fee applies)
