West Australian Gun Club Welcome to WAGC, our primary purpose is to foster and encourage the sport of Clay Target Shooting Sports.

West Australian Gun Club is a non profit organisation which is a member of the Australian Clay Target Association, the national body which is responsible for the administration of the sport in Australia. Clay Target Shooting is a sport that can be enjoyed by the whole family as recreation or at a competition level from registered club events to regional, state, national and international competiti

ons. These include World Championships, Commonwealth and Olympic Games. Clay Target Shooting has different disciplines to try which include: Trap, S***t, ISSF and Sporting Clays. Each discipline varies in its approach and delivery of targets to give a choice and different experience with Clay Target Shooting.

WAGC held their 100 Double Barrel Club Championship today under near-perfect conditions ☀️🎯

A crisp start to the morning had the fireplace going, but it quickly turned into a beautiful day for shooting, with good visibility and ideal conditions.

Leading the way with perfect scores and taking out the overall sash once again was our very own trap captain Charly Waldburger – a fantastic performance 👏

Plenty of strong scores were posted across the squads, with tight competition and consistency the key to staying in the mix.

Congratulations to all of today’s winners and placegetters – a great effort all round 💪

As always, a big thank you to everyone who helped run the day, from setting targets to keeping things moving and packing up at the end.

Looking forward to seeing everyone back out around the traps for the next one 👍

2026 Patron's Cup - changes to event!
Now starting at 10am, and with a revised program
50 Target S***t Handicap & 50 Target Trap Handicap
Shooters must enter in both events to be eligible to win the 'Patron's Cup' sash [open] & slab of ammo drawn at random (donated by Doug)

Prizes paid 1st - 6th in each handicap event

Previous winners of the prior program include Stuart Henderson (2025), Lindsay Smith (2024), Russell Jaggard (2023) & Jason Lynch (2022)

WAGC hosted the Mauri Urquhart Memorial Shoot last weekend (3 May 2026) at Whiteman Park International Shooting Complex.
Mauri was a popular, generous and active member of our club and is fondly remembered.
He and his wife Kai proudly sponsored shoot days at the club, with the highlight being the wonderful Thai food that was prepared and served in generous amounts by Kai.
It's been 3 years since Mauri's passing, and he is being sorely missed by all who knew him.

49 shooters braved the early start in chilly conditions with mostly clear skies, but good scores seemed hard to maintain.
Doing the best today, and taking the sash and trophy home, was Billy Sims with 135/140.
With the grade winners as below..
AA) Charly Waldburger 134/140. Trevor Morris 134/140. Matt Iwanki 133/140.
A) Riki Tait 133/140. Glenn O'Brien 131/140. Ross Riggs 129/140.
B grade) Keith Tuckey 125/140. Garry Sutton & Stuart Henderson = on 124/140.
C) Amanda Anderson 122/140. Reginald Offer 120/140. Mark Yozzi 119/140.
