A big thank you to the Westbury Agricultural Society for donating choccies to our kiddos last Thursday, and an equally big thank you to Westbury Gourmet Butchery who donated the snags! Both were eagerly consumed and left our kids with a big smile on their face!!

The winner of our Grand Final Shaw-Brown medal for the child those show positivity during the game went to Hugo, congratulations.
He was put in the back line today and wasn't overly happy he couldn't kick goals, but he got out there, smiled and made a big impact. He didn't complain, he just played footy. Well done 👏

The Auskick season for 2026 is all done. Thank you to Adam Richards, Renae Watts, Michael Zankovic, Jessica Ann Flood, Doniqua Brazendale and Allie Bowman for helping out. With some many kids turning up, your help was very much appreciated.

Thank you to those parents who helped out. Many hands make light work, so if you helped your child or others we thank you very much.

Lastly but definitely not least Alex Wadley, it is not an easy job to take on. From organising sessions, teaching the kids, getting under 8s going and making sure each child has the ability to learn our great game. Most people would turn the job down, but you have stood up each year and took it on. We thank you for turning up and giving 100%. Without you this wouldn't happen. Thank you again.

Westbury Auskick Centre season 2026 has been a good one. On and upwards from here.

Thursday night was our last session of Auskick. We had our always enjoyable Parents vs Kids game, which ended with the kids getting the win over the parents by only 2 points. After the game the kids headed into the club rooms for some very yummy sausages, fruit boxes, Bertie Beatles and ice cream. We were also joined by the honourable Guy Barnett, to present the children with their participation certificates.

We would like to thank Westbury Gourmet Butchery for donating the sausages twice this season.
Westbury Show Society for donating the Bertie Beatles.
Meander Valley Football Club for donating the fruit boxes and ice cream. Also Marlene Mchenry for helping us out in the kitchen.
Without these donations and help, the Auskick Centre wouldn't be able to offer these things to the kids. It is very much appreciated. Thank you again.

🏉 Auskick Grand Final – Today! 🏉

Our Auskick Grand Final game will be played at half-time of the Senior Men’s match today.

📍 Please assemble at approximately 2:40pm near the change rooms, or just keep an eye on the game clock approaching half time.

We would also love to extend an invitation to any East Coast families with Auskick-aged children who would like to come along and join in the fun!

Game Setup
🔹 The playing area will be the entire forward 50 of the senior ground.
🔹 The field will be divided into three sections using cones.
🔹 Goals will be positioned as shown in the image below.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parents, please help us by positioning yourselves along the boundary line of the 50-metre arc or across the goal face. Your encouragement and presence will help keep the players in their designated thirds and ensure the game runs smoothly.

🏅 TONIGHT – AUSKICK PRESENTATION NIGHT! 🏅

We can’t wait to celebrate a fantastic 2026 Auskick season with all of our young Suns tonight at Westbury Oval!

We also have some wonderful news. Despite Auskick no longer providing participation medals, every child will still receive a medal tonight thanks to the incredible generosity of The Honourable Guy Barnett and the efforts of Sara Dalton, who kindly organised everything for us.

Guy will also be in attendance tonight and is looking forward to meeting our Auskickers and seeing the next generation of Suns in action. As a proud Hagley boy himself, Guy was only too happy to support our junior program and help recognise the efforts of all our young players.

🏅 Presentation Night & Dinner – 4:40pm–5:10pm

🌦️ If the weather turns against us, don’t worry—we will still go ahead. We will utilise the change rooms for a quick changeover and hold the presentation there if required. Please bring a spare set of clothes for your child, just in case they get a little wet during the Parents vs Kids game.

A huge thank you to all of our players, parents, volunteers and supporters who have made this season such a success. We look forward to seeing everyone tonight as we celebrate another great year of Auskick at the Suns! ☀️🔴

Following the game, we'll celebrate another fantastic season with our Auskick Presentation Night and Dinner from 4:40pm–5:10pm.
