📗Ready to Learn Online Story Time📙

A great opportunity to support your child’s language and literacy development and connect with other children.

What will the story be this week? Tip Tip Dig Dig Emma Garcia

When a pile of mess is discovered, a group of big, colourful, construction trucks start working together, all having their own job to do, all making their own special sounds to create a wonderful surprise at the end.

This book visually invites the reader to join in. The pictures are bright, simple and relatable, capturing children’s attention, creating a sense of fun and excitement. The trucks all make different sounds and actions, helping children associate sounds with movement. Words like “TIP, TIP, TIP” and “LIFT, LIFT, LIFT” are repeated in large bold text. At the end of the story, we see how the trucks all come together to build a playground, representing teamwork and being creative to help the environment by using old things in new ways.

Refugee Week - A Million Stories

As Europe recovered from the devastation of World War II, Australia responded to an international call to offer a future to people with nowhere to call home.

Since that initial agreement in 1947 to receive 4000 refugees from Central Europe, Australia has issued one million permanent humanitarian visas – welcoming people from all parts of the globe, people who have helped to build modern Australia.

Refugee Week 2026 is a moment to reflect on that milestone and to celebrate the million stories behind it.

Each story is unique. Each one is powerful. And together, they shape the Australia we all call home today.

National Reconcilliation Week 27 May - 3 June

2026 Theme- All In

A call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day.

The dates for NRW remain the same each year; 27 May to 3 June. These dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey – the successful 1967 referendum, and the High Court Mabo decision respectively.

Reconciliation must live in the hearts, minds and actions of all Australians as we move forward, creating a nation strengthened by respectful relationships between the wider Australian community, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
