Our Annual Change Over Dinner took place this week where a newly appointed Board was inducted for 2026/27 to steer our club continuing our 62 year history. Since 1964 we have raised an estimated $2 million for a number of worthy causes. A new President will lead the Team who has years of knowledge and experience in Lionism. On the same night we also inducted a new member into our expanding club. The more volunteers we have the more great community work we as dedicated Lions can undertake . Thanks to the generosity of our local Community and Woolworths at Cherrybrook Village Shopping Centre our Lions Club last Saturday collected 9 large trolleys of grocery related items for The Dish organisation to feed those in need in the Hornsby Region. Hunger is a key Lions International pillar of focus.

Great News! Your local Lions Club in association with the management of Woolworths at Cherrybrook Village are holding another food drive for The Dish feeding those in need throughout the Hornsby area. This will be held Saturday 13th June 2026 from 9am to 1pm. Last year our local community generously donated 9 large trolleys of dry goods like cereal, rice, tin food , fruit and veg. National Volunteer Week (NVW) in Australia is taking place from 18–24 May 2026. The theme for this year is "Your Year to Volunteer", which encourages Australians to find meaningful ways to give back in ways that suit their current lifestyle.

Why not consider joining your local Lions Club to Volunteer for your Community . Our club has raised an estimated $2m since inception in 1964. We meet monthly at the WPH Sports Club for events / Dinner meetings. We run our Lions BBQ at Bunnings Dural each month and support many local schools and Lions Projects.
