ANHC The Australian National Homebrew Conference is a celebration of all thing homebrew! It's a celebration of all things home-brew!

Featuring talks by international and local speakers, a beer pairing gala dinner, and a fun club night. The Australian National Homebrew Conference is held bi-annually, alternating between Melbourne and other cities around Australia. It features talks by international and local speakers, a beer pairing gala dinner, and a fun club night. The ANHC corresponds to the judging for the Australian Amateur

Brewing Championships each time. The ANHC is primarily the brain-child of John Preston who had attended the American National Homebrewing Conference twice and enjoyed it so much he decided he had to have one here. He then pulled together a collection of the smartest and best-looking homebrewers in Melbourne to form the organising committee. The first conference was held in Melbourne in October 2008 and was deemed a runaway success by all. Melbourne hosted further successful conferences as well as Canberra and Adelaide.

Our Story

The Australian National Homebrewing Conference takes place every second year, bringing together Australia’s passionate homebrewing community with some of the world’s superstars of brewing. Brewers share informaiton, experiences and most importantly of all, magnificent beers that we often have no opportunity to taste.

It has been running since 2008, when a group of like minded (and good looking) local homebrewers in Melbourne decided it was time to get everyone together for a big celebration of beer - and so it began.

The first conference was held in Melbourne in October 2008 and was deemed a runaway success by all. Melbourne hosted further successful conferences as well as Canberra and Adelaide. ANHC is back in 2018 in its home town and hosted by our wonderful partner William Angliss Institute. Check out the website (http://www.anhc.com.au) for information and tickets.
