The authentic relationships we build with families means that when support is really needed, we can really help šš
Thanks to our incredible friends at Commonwealth Bank we are able to offer the most special weekend of connection for those families in our community who face the heartbreaking loss of a child to cancer or a blood disorder.
Support is there for every family in our community, no matter the passing of time.
Peer support...being around others who really understand, those who you just don't need to explain yourself to, can be incredibly comforting and healing.
The KCSG Bereaved Families Retreat is an opportunity for families to organically get to know other families while still holding their own privacy and space to grieve. It's a place for children who have lost a sibling to connect and build lasting friendships. It's a place for organic conversations, laughter when it's needed most, to find a shoulder to cry on and take time to connect with nature and your child's memory.
It's a place for gentle recovery with others who 'get it'.
This year we are so happy once again to be nestled in the heart of Yallingup at the beautiful Discovery Parks & Resorts Taunton Farm.
For 3 nights families will be given the opportunity to immerse themselves in activities, self care, or simply curling up in their cabin or going for a walk or family time alone.
The beautiful thing about this retreat is that there are no expectations, no pressure to engage, no need to explain. It's run by those who have been where you are, it's attended by those who really understand.
Expressions of interest for bereaved families in our KCSG community will soon be open. Please keep an eye out.
If you can make it we'd love to see you, but please know we are here to support you through grief and loss every day of the year and every moment you take another step with your child in your heart instead of your arms š
Thank you Commonwealth Bank...for your generosity, compassion for community, and for making this very special event possible for the families who need it mostšš
