🎗️If you witness a child go through cancer, you don’t come out of it seeing the world quite the same way.
It changes you for a lifetime.
You see things you wish no child ever had to know.
You see them learn the language of blood counts, scans and medications before they should even know or understand those words.
You see small bodies endure procedures that adults would struggle to face. Process emotions they are not equipped to understand.
You see childhood, play, squeezed between hospital rooms, treatment schedules, hospital appointments and waiting for results.
And you see the people who love them standing beside them, managing their own trauma and trying to somehow make an impossible world still feel safe.
Childhood cancer changes the child experiencing it.
And its reach goes much further.
It changes parents. Brothers and sisters. Grandparents. Friends. Aunts. Uncles.
There are moments they can never unsee.
This September, we want to show childhood cancer through their eyes.
Not to make people look away in sadness, but to help our community understand why awareness matters. Why support matters. And why families need people beside them not only at diagnosis, but through treatment, relapse, survivorship, bereavement and everything that comes after.
Because childhood cancer isn't just something that happens to a child.
It happens to a childhood.
It happens to a family.
And some parts of it stay with you forever.
