Thursday
A team of dedicated volunteers from RC Balwyn lent their hands to the packing extravaganza at DIK generously filling backpacks with essential items for students in developing nations.
After packing an impressive number of backpacks that could fill a small warehouse, the team selflessly devoted themselves to preparing items for an op shop project ,an initiative of RC Brighton, destined to a remote area of the Northern Territory .
Meanwhile, RC Hawthorn's team worked tirelessly in the clothing section, likely discovering hidden gems for a future night out.
Just when the day couldn't get more extraordinary, a member from RC Leongatha dropped by to explore ways to contribute to DIK's noble cause.
Subsequently, two members from RC Woodend arrived seeking assistance in unearthing Rotary Flags that had been securely stored in the DIK warehouse.
A group looking to hire equipment for a film project made their way through the premises, meticulously evaluating items as if at an exclusive auction.
Additionally, a dental chair that had been on hire to another film crew was returned, doubtlessly bearing tales of its adventures.
Medical supplies arrived steadily throughout the day, while items for the next Timor Leste container flowed in gradually.
And the tech heads were checking recently donated electric scooters
Colin departed early to deliver plastics to Mordialloc, but his journey was unexpectedly interrupted when the truck broke down - five hours later, Colin and the DIK truck were towed back to West Footscray, concluding the day's endeavours .
Some regulars could be found beavering away in the stationary and medical aisles
And our forklift driver spent the day dodging the volunteers
A fabulous day was had by all !!
