Our Group Leader, Michelle, is currently enjoying an overseas holiday and this evening had the wonderful opportunity to visit our penpal Scout Group, 1st Foots Cray, near Sidcup in the United Kingdom.
After an approx 90-minute train trip from London, Michelle joined both their Scout and Explorer (Venturers) meetings. It was a fantastic evening of sharing stories, comparing Scouting experiences and learning about each other's countries and cultures.
There were plenty of questions - mostly about Scouting, but there was also a lot of curiosity about Australia's snakes and spiders! 😄🐍🕷️
A huge thank you to everyone at 1st Foots Cray for making Michelle feel so welcome. We greatly value our friendship with our UK penpal Group and look forward to continuing to strengthen the connection between our two Scout Groups in the years ahead.
Scouting truly is a worldwide family! 🌍⚜️
