Great day at my school with a visit from these puppies for Wellbeing Week. Animals are great for diffusing concerns and getting those endorphins flowing.

Great night out for Maxi’s belated 21st celebrations. Lots of family and friends.

In my life I have found habits very easy to fall into, and life can seem to be very busy. When we came up with this challenge I did not realise how much more time it gave me in my day. Busy-ness took on a new level. It got me off the couch and thinking of others, not just lost in my own thoughts.

As one half of our Maxi+Mum challenge I am finding it difficult to finish and move on. This has been such a big part of our lives and unlike those families with Leukaemia, we have a choice to our finish time. I will often teach the concept that FAIL - is your first attempt in learning. I feel that I failed on this journey, however I have grown and been challenged beyond what I could have expected. On the other hand, Maxi was amazing. Given the chance to journey with one of your children, in whatever form that challenge may take enables you to see a strength and maturity in something that you made. We haven’t called it quits yet - please go to our links in bio to continue to donate to the families of children with Leukaemia. [.]

I am sorry that this has taken me time to post. I have had to get back into my 'normal' life of family and work. I know speaking from my own perspective ( Toni - The Mum), that I am still coming to terms with our journey. On returning I was sitting, waiting and eavesdropping on a conversation. It was about how the Leukaemia Foundation in Australia supported a family with financial support in order to be with a relative that had leukaemia. As I happened to know one of the people in the conversation I told them about Maxi+Mum, and how this is our goal. This was the reason behind helping the family as a whole...helping the person/child with leukaemia to have the support and love around them at the time they most need it. We are still aiming to collect donations, and we have not called it quits yet!

Please check out our donation link in our bio.

Still flying. Another 4 hours until home. I stink. I look and feel homeless. I have actually been one of those people that you see sleeping on the floor in airports. Yet another challenge to overcome- miss my entire family. [.]
