Creating Villages seeks to create inclusive community places to advance health outcomes and reduce social isolation by providing affordable opportunities for creativeness, skill development, and connections. er its mission via activities such as:
1. sensory craft and art activities, and healthy eating and environmental living workshops for parents, children, carers, and people with disabilities;
2. hosting skills workshops, providing employment experience, supporting and linking small and emerging local businesses. CV facilitates Cafe QB at Quantin Binnah Community Centre and runs social craft groups in partnership with QB at this venue. Cafe QB provides a capacity building program for people who have a disability. Cafe QB is open Monday, Tuesday, Weds 8.30am to 4.30pm. The café is staffed by volunteers, and all profits go to running social community groups and to other community needs identified. CV prides ourselves on being inclusive of everyone, flexible, welcoming, understanding, and community minded. We are passionate about creating programs identified and guided by the community. Programs include free Breakfast Program between 8.30am and 9am Mon to Weds, Craft Ability a social craft group for people with a disability, OOey gOOey messy play, Homeschool cooking program, high tea and craft, lunch with a bunch, craft in aged care residences and GLOW all ability adult disco. These are run in strong partnership with Quantin Binnah Community Centre.
