🔥 WERRIBEE DISTRICT 4WD CLUB – ANNUAL MID-YEAR CAMPOUT 2026 🔥

Join us for an awesome winter weekend away with the Werribee District 4WD Club at Meredith Park Campground, Lake Colac!

This year’s annual mid-year campout was all about Fun, Family & Friendship ❤️🚙🏕️

We had a fantastic weekend spent with club members, friends and families. There were plenty of laughs, great conversations, warm campfires and, of course, plenty of Victorian winter weather! 🌧️💨🔥

The wind was blowing, the rain was coming down, but that didn't stop everyone from enjoying themselves. After all… what do you expect when you're camping in winter? 😂

Saturday night was all about good food and great company, with an awesome BBQ, plenty of food to go around and some seriously yummy desserts! 🍖🥩🍰🍮

Then came Sunday morning… 🌧️☔

Waking up to pouring rain and still getting everyone together for bacon & egg rolls! 🥓🍳☕

That's what camping is all about — getting out there, enjoying the outdoors and sharing the experience with great people, no matter what the weather throws at you!

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and helped make our 2026 Annual Mid-Year Campout such a fantastic weekend.

WERRIBEE DISTRICT 4WD CLUB – MID-YEAR GETAWAY 2026

What an awesome weekend away! 🏕️🚙

Over the 8th & 9th of August, the Werribee District 4WD Club headed off for our Mid-Year Getaway, with this year’s destination being Meredith Park Campground on the shores of Lake Colac.

A few keen members headed up early on Friday to secure a good spot, with the rest of us making our way up throughout Saturday. By the time everyone arrived, we had around 30-odd members, family and friends enjoying the weekend together.

❄️ The weather? Well… it is winter! 😂
It certainly wasn't the best, with plenty of wind, rain and cold temperatures, but that didn't stop everyone from making the most of it.

In fact, we had three fire pits going at once as everyone tried to keep warm! 🔥🔥🔥

🌳 Meredith Park Campground proved to be a great location for a club weekend away. It's easily accessible by 2WD vehicles, has plenty of room for everyone to spread out and set up camp, and even has great flushable toilets on site — always a bonus when camping!

🍖 Saturday Night BBQ

A huge thank you to our President Brad for putting on an awesome BBQ Saturday night for all the members and families who attended.

And he wasn't finished there…

🥓🍳 Sunday morning breakfast saw Brad back at it with bacon and egg rolls for everyone.

We even went the extra mile and cooked up some mushrooms for Girly, our resident vegetarian! 🍄❤️

Despite the cold, wind and rain, everyone had a fantastic weekend. It was great to see members sitting around the fires, catching up, sharing a few laughs and simply enjoying a weekend away together.

That's what the Werribee District 4WD Club is all about — getting outdoors, enjoying this great country and, most importantly, enjoying it together with good friends and family. ❤️

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the weekend such a great success.
