A Catholic parish in the care of the Carmelites

We want all people to feel connected, safe, supported and valued when they engage with our parish community, both in person and online. Jesus doesn't reject or diminish any of the Ten Commandments. Instead, he teaches that love is the foundation for all Christian living. Do I strive to love completely as God loves?

The Pharisees thought a question about taxes could be a way to trick Jesus to break Roman law. For Jesus, paying taxes did not stop anyone from following God's law. Do I choose the way of love?

It is with sadness that we share that Fr Michael Brundell O.Carm passed away yesterday afternoon in Melbourne.

Fr Michael was part of the Wentworthville Carmelite Community for many years, assisting with liturgical celebrations in the parish, and providing spiritual direction and formation at the former Marymount Mercy Centre at Castle Hill, and St Joseph's Centre for Reflective Living, Baulkham Hills.

Please pray for Fr Michael, his family, and the Carmelites at this time.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace.
