Our 2026 Autumn Show this weekend was wonderful ! The exhibits were exceptional in quality and number...280 entries in the Dahlia Class ... 100+ in 2025...
It was great to welcome our regular visitors and meet many first time visitors.
Staging the Show is a huge task and relies on the talent and commitment of our Club members ...ably lead by Fran Grylls and Prue Fleming!
The average age of our Club members is creeping up particularly when "very active" member 100 year old Bruce Crowl is in that equation !!
We are looking forward to a few months rest before we get into top gear for our Spring Show on October 30 th and 31st !

Are you concerned about Bank scams and frauds ??

On Wednesday March 11th the CBA General Manager for Gippsland is attending our Welshpool and District Horticultural Society's General Meeting to explain Bank scams and frauds and what we can do to identify and avoid them.

We are opening up this opportunity to anyone who is interested..not just Club members!

Time: 2 pm
Place : Welshpool Hall

We share afternoon tea if you would like to "bring a plate" !

Looking forward to seeing all your Entries in our Autumn Show next Friday and Saturday !!
The rain this week has produced unexpected changes and progress in the garden... so welcome after such a dry Summer !!

of your Entries by 6pm this coming Wednesday March 6th !!

If you are a first time Exhibitor just bring your flowers etc to the Welshpool Hall before 10 am on this coming Friday 6th ! We have vases/ containers and there will be plenty of helpers on hand to help you arrange and stage your exhibits !!

There is no fee for entering but the Best exhibit in each Class will be awarded $50 and the Best exhibit in the Show will be awarded $250 !!
There are trophy awards for several items in each Shedule Class.

The Official Show Opening by our own Frances Grylls will be at 2pm at the Hall!!

Our Welshpool Autumn Flower Show 2026 is fast approaching and we are looking forward to enjoying the display in the Hall and catching up with Exhibitors and Visitors !

"AUTUMN ARTISTRY" is the theme for this Show!

Our on-site Plant Nursery is well stocked with healthy reasonably priced plants and the wonderful Country style refreshments promise to please !

... and so our 64th Autumn Show is complete ...
Our well oiled Welshpool & District Horticultural Society's team make it all look so easy but the organisation and team work needed to stage a successful Show is complex !
Congratulations to everyone and thankyou to all the people who came to this Show...looking forward to seeing everyone again for our 65th Spring Show, October 31st and November 1st.

The Entries are in and the Hall is set up ....looking forward to seeing old friends and new at our Welshpool and District Horticultural Society's 64th Autumn Show tomorrow and Saturday.
The Dahlias and Roses are stunning and the Home Produce benches are full !!
