The Conquer Cancer team would like to extend a massive thank you to every volunteer who helped make this month’s world-record relay attempt possible.
For 29 days straight, volunteers showed up day and night with energy, passion and questionable sleeping schedules. From checking runners in, rapidly attaching body cameras, redirecting confused runners, making questionable coffees, and making the calls to ensure runners actually turned up,you kept this relay alive.
The Melbourne weather threw absolutely everything at us. Rain, wind, freezing mornings… and yet, somehow, most days still turned out to be beautiful running weather.
Yes, energy drinks became borderline life support for the directors, but between no-shows, delirious conversations and running groups suddenly arriving 30 strong, there is absolutely no way we survived this month without you.
Together, we’ve helped raise vital funds and awareness for brain cancer research at while supporting the incredible programs provides to help kids be kids again when disaster strikes.
Thank you for being our family for the month.
See you at the final lap, and we’re looking forward to some beers at the brewery afterwards.
We’ll be back. Probably after a good nap.
