NEXT WEEK // FIRST NATIONS STORYTELLING WORKSHOP

Next Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 November we're hosting a First Families project First Nations storytelling workshop at the Maliyan Cultural Centre, between 10am—1.00pm each day. (A great chance to see the First Families exhibition while you're there!)

You'll have access to everything you need on the day to help tell your story. So join us. If you have questions about the day, email Emah at [email protected].

Sydney-based historian, Michael Bennett will be at the workshop. He has worked for over 20 years in the fields of native title, oral history and genealogical research. He has extensive experience in helping communities navigate the colonial archive to find out more about their families and tell their own stories.

This project is a partnership between Wellington Local Aboriginal Land Council, Wellington Aboriginal Corporation Health Service, and Orana Arts, funded by the Australian Government's Regional Arts Fund.
