Busy day today for Wee Waa Lions Club. We held the Lions Youth of the Year judging at the Art & Cultural Centre AKA "The Yellow Door". There were 6 entrants who did a fantastic job with their interviews, impromptu speeches and prepared speeches. The winners on the day were : Tia Schmeide in the Public Speaking section and the overall winner was Cassidy Welsh. Congratulations to the winners and all the participants. Thank you to Mrs Carmel Schwager who was a great mentor to the students. Also thank you to the fellow students who came to support the participants, you were all a credit to your Wee Waa High School. Cassidy will now progress to the next level of judging, time to be advised.
Thank you to our wonderful judges on the day:- Kara Malone (NAB representative from Moree), Gale Hewitt, Noel Holland and Tash Johnston - timekeeper. Huge thanks to Lisa Dennise Almagro for the use of the Art Centre, what a great venue. Thanks to Bruce Gray for coordinating the day.
