We are very excited by the decision from the Australian Government to extend the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) until June 2029 & their belief that it should remain a standalone program.
CHSP is the entry point for many older Australian to Aged Care. This decision recognises the importance of CHSP in supporting locally delivered, community-based services that help older Australians stay independent, connected and living well at home.
Lets hope the next stages of consultation, and future design of CHSP, can better meet the needs of older Australians.

The Australian Government will extend the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) to 30 June 2029 – giving 830,000 older Australians certainty about the services they use every day and supporting providers to continue critical aged care services.

Last week our Namoi Nibbles lunch bus was treated to a special camp oven cookout. Huge thanks to the Dixon family for hosting & John Burgess Photography for capturing these fantastic photos. Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal & had a fun time meeting the mini mules.

Last week Namoi Nibbles stayed local, heading to Weeronga, for a lovely morning tea & dog jumping demonstration. The dog jump is always a crowd favourite at the Wee Waa Show, but can be tricky for many clients & residents at Weeronga to attend in person. The demonstration gave everyone a chance to experience all the action up close, cheering on the dogs as they cleared the jump.
It's moments like these that make what we do so special - getting our clients out, connected, and part of the community events they might otherwise miss.
Huge thank you to everyone involved in making the demonstration happen, especially Weeronga for hosting the morning, John Burgess for the beautiful photos & the Dixon family for making it all possible.
