The theme for our entry in the recent Wedderburn Christmas Festival was 'Australiana'. Many hours of hard work went into hand making all the Australia themed decorations for our Christmas tree. We were delighted to find out that we had won the Best Exhibit in the Group section.....again! The Festival itself was an excellent display of the creativity of so many residents. Some of our members did exceptionally well, winning prizes for the highest overall aggregate scores from multiple winning entries. Wedderburn CWA would like to congratulate the organisers of the Festival, who stepped in to put it together when it looked like it was going to be cancelled. It was a very productive and fun weekend.

How beautiful are the gardens at Mica Grange? On a purely fun outing recently, a group of us went to a lovely craft fair at Buda Homestead and then to lunch at the Railway Hotel in Castlemaine. We dropped into Mica Grange at Sutton Grange on the way home. The views and gardens there are just stunning and well worth a visit. We even managed afternoon tea at the lovely Green Folly Nursery in Chewton (the carrot cake was delicious!). I think everyone who went agreed it was a great day out.

October was Breast Cancer Awareness month. At our October meeting, we heard about one member's breast cancer journey. Supper was all pink and our little raffle raised $100 for the Cancer Unit at St. Vincent's Hospital in Melbourne. Thankyou so much to everyone who attended and contributed.
