Regretfully, Wedderburn Patchwork Group will not be organising a Chrismas and Arts Festival in 2025. Father Time has caught up with the group of women who have organised the Festival for almost 30 years. Hopefully another group or organisation will accept the challenge of continuing the Festival, begun initially by the Wedderburn Craft Group about 35 years ago. We have made up a USB of documents, which could be useful for any group keen to present the Festival.

Today members of Wedderburn Patchwork Group are presenting a cheque to Bendigo Foodshare. This donation has been made possible due to the wonderful community support of 2024 Christmas Festival. Thank you.

Christmas greetings to all our patchwork friends. During the holiday break, enjoy some stitching and take time to dream about projects on your 'wish list'. You might even rediscover some UFOs!

The Wedderburn Community Christmas and Arts Festival ends today at 3pm. There are stunning exhibits on display, local stallholders, and great catering. You will be supporting the work of Bendigo Foodshare by coming along. Everyone's a winner!

A reminder ... entries in Christmas Festival need to be brought to the Hall, High Street on Thursday 28th November, between 1pm and 6pm. Thank you to the teachers at Wedderburn College, who rounded up lots of artwork before the art room was demolished this week. A big shout out to the volunteers who are helping bring in equipment, erect quilt stands, and set up the displays of entries on Thursday. Thank you.

Thank you to 27 volunteers from across the district who have agreed to donate some of their time in support of the Wedderburn Community Christmas and Arts Festival. We have people helping members move equipment to the hall, setting up displays, sorting entries, being judges and stewards, and 'manning' the front door. Without our volunteers we would have been forced to cancel the Festival.
Now all we need are entries across the 29 sections. Most sections do not have a Christmas theme and most sections do not require items of patchwork. Consider entering a Chrismas tree, too. Check out the sections in "Scoop" or the College Newsletter.
Finally, come along to the Festival. $5 entry fee covers you for one or both days. Susie Lockhart is catering again, the Choir is singing at 2pm on Friday and we have some great market stalls. This year proceeds from the Festival are being donated to Bendigo Foodshare, an organisation supporting many families in our local area. We hope you can join us on November 29 and 30, 2024.

30/10/2024

The Wedderburn Community Christmas and Arts Festival is just four weeks away. A reminder that entries are due at the hall on Thursday 28 November. Not all entries need to have a Christmas theme.
Thank you to Loddon Council for supporting the Festival again this year.
Part of the Festival proceeds will be donated to Bendigo Foodshare to support the work they do across our area.
